Megware Computer Vertrieb und Service GmbH (Megware) is one of Europe’s largest HPC solution providers, with over 1 300 HPC Megware deployed to this date. In close collaboration with international and European technology providers, Megware engineers have a long history in testing novel hardware and software technologies and assessing their suitability for scientific computing applications. With ClustWare®, Megware designs and develops a fully integrated HPC cluster management and monitoring software specifically targeted at the needs of HPC centres and their staff. 

Megware is an elected member of the ETP4HPC steering board and acts as the lead integrator for the European DEEP-EST Horizon 2020 project.

Role in TREX

In TREX, Megware will provide in-kind access to latest HPC technologies by providing TREX consortium members remote access to its benchmark centre. In addition, Megware will develop system management tools for seamless deployment of TREX workflows on large scale HPC systems. Following successful implementation within TREX, these features will be integrated into Megware's CliustWare® cluster management software.

Relevant infrastructures and facilities

Megware’s benchmark centre hosts a large set of latest HPC technologies from various international and European technology providers. With simple access rules, it is designed to assist Megware customers in making the right choice of architecture and platform for their upcoming HPC procurements. As an in-kind contribution to the CoE, TREX partners working on the evaluation of new hardware technologies will be granted full access to the benchmark centre to support their porting and evaluation efforts.
